photograph showing a large grassy field with flowers and straws all over, held together by hills all aroud, covered with pine trees. a fence strikes under the center of the photo, behind which there are two cabins, spaced out from one another. the photo was taken in the Austrian alps. text over the image says "you. me. and a trail that leads somewhere". there is some hard notive text over the fence "maybe there will be Kaiserschmarrn. who knows?". Kaiserschmarrn is an Austrian dish which is like pancakes, but softer, lighter, fluffier and served in a pan and cut up into chunks and served with powdered sugar and usually some kind of fruit sauce. bottom right says "by maria on Lemmy, made with Krita", burried in the grass.

maybe we rule. maybe we don’t. i hope you have someone to rule with, that you don’t want someone to rule with or that you find someone to rule with soon. same goes for me.

Peter Jackson returns to directing — next movie is "Tintin 2" (goldderby.com) News/Updates

Community iconc/movies@piefed.social by
TheImpressiveX@piefed.social

“Fran and I have been writing a script for the next Tintin film because 15 years ago, Steven Spielberg directed a Tintin film and I produced it,” Jackson exclusively tells Gold Derby. “The idea was that then I was supposed to go straight onto a second one, and we’d swap the roles, so I’d direct the second one and he’d produce it. It’s just taken 15 years to get there, unfortunately, a bit late. But it’s a timeless story. So we just wrapped up. So probably the next film that I’d actually direct is a Tintin movie.”

The thought that brought this up is my idea for an art piece actually. Someone that wants to release a series of art, 39 premade versions and a 40th that incorporates blood or something from their death. Then only allowing all of them to be released at the same time, posthumously.

TIL Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek TNG has a platinum record (avclub.com)

Community iconc/til@lemmy.world by
klu9@piefed.social

JF: My next-door neighbor at the time was a guy named Paul Fox, who produced R.E.M., 10,000 Maniacs, Jakob Dylan, Björk, and Phish. And the guys from Phish were huge Trekkers, and they used to come to his house to rehearse. Actually, I think they may have rehearsed in my guest house! This was up in Lookout Mountain, in L.A. But they got wind that I played trombone, and they didn’t know I wasn’t that good, but they asked me to the studio, so I came out to the studio to play trombone on Hoist. I played some music; I didn’t do it so well, but all of the outtakes from my trombone playing became a song called “Riker’s Mailbox,” because at the time, my mailbox vaguely looked like a cow, with black and white spots, only this one had been beaten up many times by cars running into it and people running by and smacking it. So my outtakes were named after the mutilated cow mailbox that was the identification of the front of our house, the Hoist album went platinum, and, as a result, I am the proud keeper of a platinum record. So there you go.

I’ve noticed some people treat their lawn like a carpet. If there is 1 leaf, that’s clutter that needs to be picked up. If a tire touches their grass, it’s like you got oil on their rug. They’ve usually manicured their lawn into 1 species monoculture grass with zero weeds and zero bugs. Which because of this lack of diversity, it is now incredibly fragile.

About MULTIVERSE

Destroy Reality. Create a Multiverse.

MULTIVERSE is a threaded, federated forum for anarcho-antirealists. The UI might remind you of Reddit, and we’re connected to dozens of other sites run by different people with different values. But if you came here, you’re probably an anarchist with a distaste for “objective” reality, and I promise that this site is a safe space for you.

Rule 1: No Bigotry. In addition to the usual bigotries, we do not appreciate kinphobia, pluralphobia, sysmedicalism, transmedicalism, denigration of xenogenders & neopronouns, fatphobia, or invalidation of fictives and fictionkin.

Rule 2: Limited Authoritarianism. Asking questions and good faith debate is encouraged, but we do not allow staunch support for the belief in an objective reality, or other authoritarian viewpoints. Debate tactics optimised to exhaust and intimidate our users (sometimes known as ‘sealioning’) will be removed.

Rule 3: Restricted Violence. Attacks against our users and vulnerable groups including threats, directed triggering, harassment, stalking, and doxxing are not allowed. Brigading, calls for revolution, and support for anarchic elements do not fall within this rule and are not considered problematic.

Rule 4: Moderator Accountability. Site admins and staff, and community moderators, are held to a higher standard than ordinary users in proportion with the powers they wield. Moderators are expected to be fair and patient, to explain to rulebreakers how to do better, and to choose reasonable ban durations that permit the possibility of rehabilitation and reintegration.
